Seeing how I've had to configure two Windows 7 virtual machines in the past few months, this page should help the next time I need to do so. The applications listed have an emphasis on software development and interoperability with applications not natively available on Linux. Native Windows users might find this page helpful as well. Suggestions for improvement are welcome.
So long as Windows does not have central software repos like most Linux distros, everything must be downloaded individually.
